Glyn Davies, Conservative MP for Montgomeryshire has welcomed the takeover of Technocover at Welshpool by a Manchester company, Ensor. The takeover secures 130 jobs in Welshpool, ending rumours about the future of the business.
Commenting on the takeover Glyn Davies said:
“The successful takeover of Technocover by Manchester-based Ensor is wonderful news for Mid Wales in general, and Welshpool in particular. The takeover will end rumours about the future of Technocover, and secures one of our major employers in Mid Wales.
“Ensor is a very successful company that has weathered recent economic turbulence well, and operates in a similar market to Technocover. The two companies are a very good ‘fit’ and there is every reason to expect a long successful future.”
