Proposals for a new development at Parc Eirias will be on display next week.
Members of the public are invited to view the proposals for a new rugby training pitch and facilities before the Council submits a planning application next month.
The planning application will be submitted for a training pitch, team changing areas, weights room, new grandstand and floodlights for the arena and additional car parking.
These proposals support a key aim of the Bay Life Development Plan – to develop Parc Eirias to become a Centre of Excellence for sport, leisure and culture.
The park has the potential to develop into a significant facility in North Wales and the announcement that Eirias will be the home ground of Rugbi Gogledd Cymru demonstrates the potential.
Council Officers will be available from 5pm to 7pm at Colwyn Bay Library on Tuesday 15th September to provide information on the proposals and answer any questions. A display of the plans will then be available for viewing at Colwyn Leisure Centre September.

Bethan Jones, Deputy Chief Executive, Conwy County Borough Council said, “We’ve identified Colwyn Bay as our regeneration priority. Creating a centre of sporting excellence at Parc Eirias is just one element in our vision to revitalise the town.”
“We believe these proposals along with others outlined in the Bay Life Development Plan can stimulate investment in the area, support business stability and result in new employment and prosperity for the local population.”
