Have good ideas? Like to tell stories? Have you ever wanted to write… but think you can’t?
If so, then this is the workshop for you.
Funded by Flintshire County Council, The Arts Council of Wales and Cadwyn Clwyd, writer/director Janys Chambers (The Snow Spider/ Emmerdale / Holby / Belonging / Radio 4) is collecting ideas and stories for plays from Trelogan’s adult community, to be made into a play with pupils from Ysgol Trelogan, Holywell, and performed at Clwyd Theatr Cymru.
We want anecdotes and reminiscences; family stories and local myths; stories legendary and historical, real and imagined.
If you are over 16 years old, come and talk… and write… and tell…
When: Tuesday 17 April 2012 from 6pm to 8.30pm.
Where: Ysgol Trelogan
Bring: Yourselves.
“The Collection” workshops will lead to a performance of three plays based on the stories ‘collected’ from three communities. Three tales of intrigue and loss, of love and celebration will be brought vividly to life on stage on July 6 at Clwyd Theatr Cymru, as part of the Flintshire Schools in Performance. That means 150 pupils from the three schools in the three communities – Trelogan, Gronant, and Whitford Primary Schools – working together with Writer/Director Janys Chambers, Music Director Louie Ingham, and Visual Artist Andrea Davies.
Your story…
… could be part of this!
