Six people rescued by Horton and Port Eynon RNLI lifeboat

Horton and Port Eynon inshore RNLI lifeboat rescued six people cut off by the incoming tide at Worms Head Gower on Saturday (7 April).

At approximately 4.50pm the National Coastwatch Team at Rhossilli alerted Swansea Coastguards, that six people were seen to be stranded on Worms Head cut off by the incoming tide.

Horton and Port Eynon inshore RNLI lifeboat launched and soon reached the six who were brought ashore by the lifeboat to “Kitchens Corner” Rhosilli safe and well.

This is the second rescue this week by the lifeboat to persons cut off by the tide at this site. The lifeboat returned safely to station, refuelled ready for the next call.
