Denbighshire Adult Services assessed as “responsive and timely”

Denbighshire Adult & Business Services has welcomed a Care & Social Services Inspectorate Wales (CSSIW) inspection report which shows that the services being offered to the increasing number of vulnerable people in our communities are continuing to make a positive difference.

The CSSIW inspection report found that “the service model adopted by Denbighshire is enabling it to provide a responsive and timely assessment to most of the adults presenting with social care needs […] There are challenges in the implementation and development of some aspects of the strategy and the council is actively reviewing progress, with the involvement of staff and managers, in order to respond to the issues identified.”

Councillor Bobby Feeley was delighted with the report’s findings.

“I am pleased to begin my new role as Lead Member for Social Care and Children’s Services with such a positive reflection of the work already being done. I look forward to building on the good practice CSSIW have identified, and we will maintain our focus on modernising our services to continue to meet the needs of an ageing population. This is no easy task, with increasingly tight resources and a growing number of people with complex care needs, but as the report shows, we are making positive strides in developing our services to meet those needs.”
