Deeside Enterprise Zone now has its own website

www.deesideenterprisezone.co.uk provides comprehensive information about Deeside Enterprise Zone (DEZ), including up to date news about plans for the future.

The website, which has been designed by award winning local company Desique, highlights the benefits and opportunities of investing in Deeside, including links to the Zone’s leading companies (Airbus, Tata Steel, Toyota and UPM), information on the support available (Deeside is the first Zone in Wales to offer Enhanced Capital Allowances for qualifying investment), and an economic overview of the county.

Deeside is one of the first Enterprise Zones to be created in Wales by the Welsh Government and will not only attract inward investment, creating skilled jobs for the whole of North Wales, but will be a catalyst to transform communities both in Deeside and further afield.

DEZ covers over 2,000 hectares providing space for new and existing businesses to grow and prosper. With direct links to the M56/M6, Liverpool and Manchester Airports, Deeside is extremely well placed to meet the needs of businesses serving domestic and European and world markets.

Councillor Peter Macfarlane, Cabinet Member for Regeneration, Enterprise and Leisure, said:

“I would encourage everyone to visit www.deesideenterprisezone.co.uk, as I believe it’s of interest to residents as well as the business community. It is a useful, informative and excellent resource for those wishing to find out what Deeside Enterprise Zone can offer, how to get involved, and the benefits that it will bring.”

Askar Sheibani, chair of Deeside Enterprise Zone Board, as well as CEO of Deeside-based telecoms repair company Comtek Network Systems UK, said,

“We are incredibly proud of what has been achieved by the business community, working together with government, both local and national, in such a short time. We know that Deeside is a great place to do business and we have ambitious plans to make this one of the best places in the UK in which to invest.”
