Wrexham Council are reminding householders to check their bin stickers in plenty of time for the christmas bank holiday changes. Collections will remain as normal with the last normal collection taking place on Christmas Eve.
Householders will then have to check their stickers for the next collection date or check on www.wrexham.gov.uk for the information. Please remember alternate collections of green and black (or blue) wheelie bins will continue throughout the winter. Collections return to normal on 18th January.
If you are unsure of your collection date or of which bin to put out for collection please contact Pride in your Streets 01978 298989.
Cllr David Bithell, Lead Member for the Environment and Transportation, said:
“It’s the time of year when households generate more rubbish than usual and this year we are all able to recycle even more by using the green bin for corrugated cardboard and food waste and the blue bag for cardboard packaging.
Missing a bin collection can be very frustrating so I would urge every household to make a note of when their bin will be collected and to ensure it is out by 7.30 am.”
