denbighshireFollowing the successful consultation events over the summer for the proposed Rhyl New School building, further events will take place on the 1st October to ensure that people can review the plans before an application is made for outline planning permission.

The day will involve Rhyl High School pupils and parents discussing the new building with AEDAS the architects working on the design. Members of the community are then invited to attend the a drop in session at the School between 5pm and 6.30 pm.

The project, which is proposed to be funded by the Welsh Government and Denbighshire County Council in partnership, will provide a new building for Rhyl High School and also provide additional facilities to allow some Ysgol Tir Morfa pupils to access mainstream education.

Jackie Walley, Denbighshire’s Head of Customers and Education Support, said: “These are exciting times for the School and we need to ensure that all parties have an opportunity to view the current proposals.  It’s also vital that the local community are informed of key stages within the project.”
