Glyn Davies, Conservative MP for Montgomeryshire, has thanked fundraisers, supporters and walkers who took part in a series of ‘Memory Walks’ which Glyn hosted across Montgomeryshire, in aid of Alzheimer’s Society. The walks raised over £1300.
Glyn hosted the walks with the support of local councillors Russell George AM, Michael Williams, Peter Lewis, and Graham Jones. Walks were held in Newtown, Machynlleth, Llanfyllin, Llanidloes and Welshpool.
The walks were also generously supported by Welshpool Printing Group and the Welshpool branches of Tesco, Morrisons, and Sainsburys supermarkets.
Thanking everyone who supported and took part in the walks, Glyn Davies MP said:
“Alzheimer’s Society is a fantastic cause and I was very pleased by the numbers of people supporting and walking in each of the Memory Walks.
“Almost everyone is affected by Alzheimer’s disease at some point in their life, either personally or through a loved one. This was clear to see given the turnout and the generosity of people.
“I would like to personally thank all involved for the fantastic support in making these walks such a success.”
