S4C viewers in the Carmarthen area are invited to share their views on the Channel’s services at a Viewers’ Evening to be held at the Halliwell Centre, Trinity University College on Tuesday, 15 September at 7.00pm.
The event will be hosted by S4C Chairman, John Walter Jones and attended by S4C Director of Commissioning, Rhian Gibson, Director of Communications, Garffild Lloyd Lewis and Head of Corporate Affairs, Tim Hartley. There will also be an opportunity to discuss digital switchover, which has already started in the area.
The event takes place as S4C launches its new autumn schedule, which features a range of favourites, from hymn-singing series Dechrau Canu Dechrau Canmol to farming programme Ffermio and fashion series Cwpwrdd Dillad.
Among S4C’s new series is a competition to find Wales’ best farmer, Fferm Ffactor, presented by Dai Jones; a new drama, Blodau; a TV portrayal of historian Hywel Teifi Edwards and a documentary on Lloyd George, Dwy Wraig Lloyd George, presented by Ffion Hague.
This is in addition to S4C’s extensive coverage of sport and local and national events.
S4C Chairman, John Walter Jones, said: “We’re extending a warm welcome to people to come along to express their views and ask any questions about S4C or digital switchover.
“With so many major changes taking place, along with S4C’s exciting autumn programme line-up, there’ll be plenty to discuss and we look forward to meeting viewers face-to-face.”
Light refreshments will be provided at the event, along with a translation service. For further details, please telephone 01352 754212.
