Aled Roberts, Welsh Liberal Democrat AM for North Wales has today gained the support of the Culture Minister in ensuring that CADW consider emergency repairs identified at Brymbo Ironworks as a matter of priority.
Commenting, Aled Roberts said:
“The Brymbo site is extremely important to the heritage of the area, and the damage caused by the heavy snow last winter was a tragedy.
“I have asked the Minister to make sure that the emergency repairs identified in a recent report for CADW are considered before this winter’s weather has any opportunity to cause even greater damage to the site, and he has agreed that the work should be a priority.
“I look forward to welcoming the Minister to Brymbo soon, so that he can view the repairs and appreciate the exceptional characteristics of the buildings.”
