Flintshire County Council employees, Flintshire’s Independent Care Provider employees and services users have been rewarded for their hard work during a recent award ceremony which was held at the Holiday Inn at Northop Hall.
A total of 195 individuals received a wide range of awards, including QCFs (Qualification Credit Frameworks) and professional and vocational qualifications.
The event was opened by Helen Stappleton, Head of Human Resources and Organisational Development, and guest speakers were Mavis Crofts MBE (Chair of the Flintshire Tenants’ Federation) and the Older People’s Commissioner for Wales, Sarah Rochira.
Candidates received their certificates from the Chair of the Council, Councillor Carolyn Thomas and Councillor Christine Jones, Cabinet Member for Social Services. Also present were Ray Dickson (Fieldwork Manager, Children’s Social Services), Clare Budden (Head of Housing) and Alwyn Jones (Head of Adult Social Services). Director of Community Services, Neil Ayling, brought the ceremony to a close.
Councillor Christine Jones, Cabinet Member for Social Services, said:
“I was so pleased to have been at the ceremony and to present so many awards to our successful candidates; they were all well deserved.”
Councillor Carolyn Thomas, Chair of the Council, added:
“I would like to congratulate everyone on their achievements. These awards are recognition of their hard work.”
