Operation Poker, launched in Pembrokeshire on 22nd December is targeting dealers and users of heroin.
11 warrants under the Misuse of Drugs act were executed by police throughout the county.
Three people were arrested and quantities of heroin and cannabis were seized.
Superintendent Reg Bevan said: “Today’s action was just the start of Operation Poker.
“This will be a multi-agency operation aimed at enforcement, education and prevention.
“Heroin is increasingly being used in our county and we are determined the dealers will not get a grip on our communities.
“We need the public’s help to provide us with information on anyone they suspect is dealing in drugs.
“It doesn’t matter how small the information may seem, for us it could be the missing piece of the puzzle.”
As well as enforcement the police will also be working with other agencies to help educate users and potential users of the drugs.
Supt Bevan added: “Users are gambling with their lives when they buy drugs off the streets as they can never be sure what they are being sold.
“It is also easy to overdose on heroin and this appears to have been the cause of a number of deaths in our county over the years.
Dealers are desperate people and will use any means to increase their profits by using dangerous substances as cutting agents. Furthermore, the associated risks of drug use have recently been demonstrated by Anthrax cases in Scotland.
“We know that giving up heroin or any type of drug can be tough but there is help, treatment and support out there.”
