Tracing family history has become very popular with numerous TV shows concentrating on the subject, and more and more people are showing an interest in drawing their own family tree.
As a result, one day courses by the Gwynedd Council’s Archives Service which will give guidance on the best way to go about tracing their family history are bound to prove very popular.
The courses which will be held at the Caernarfon Record-Office will give tips and guidance on how to start tracing your family history. There will be an opportunity to look at different kinds of sources and evidence as well as a chance to ask questions to the archivists regarding the field.
Lynn Crowther Francis, Gwynedd Council’s Principal Archivist said:
“These courses will give anybody who has an interest in tracing their family history the chance to see all the historical records available. More importantly, there’s a special opportunity for them to make use of these facilities in Gwynedd Council’s archives.
