To mark the forthcoming Carers Week, Pembrokeshire County Council has organised a number of organised events, road-shows and a special Carers Day.
This year Carers Week runs from the 14th to the 20th June with the theme ‘A Life of my Own’.
The idea is to enable carers to talk about many parts of life that most other people take for granted, such as arranging holidays or a meal out. Carers will highlight what they need to have a life of their own
Road-shows – offering information and outlining what services are available to carers – are taking place on:
- 10th June at Queen’s Hall, Narberth, between 8.30 am and 12.30 pm
- 14th June at Crymych health centre (10 am – 12 noon)
- 14th June at Sainsbury’s, Tenby (10 am – 2 pm).
Additionally a special Carers Day is being held on 17th June at Haverfordwest Rugby Club from 10 am to 3 pm offering a mix of information, advice, a carers forum and therapy taster sessions.
