Popular broadcaster Roy Noble comes to Caerphilly next for a FREE event organised by Caerphilly county borough council’s Library Service.
Roy will talk about his book ‘Noble Ways: Lay–bys in My Life‘ at St Helen’s Community Hall (off Nantgarw Road) in Caerphilly on Friday 21st May 7.00pm – 9.00pm.
Roy is a former Head Teacher, whose move to broadcasting was gradual and part-time at first but he is now Wales’ best loved and most listened to broadcaster. His unique brand of humour and easy-going personality has made his daily BBC Radio Wales programme the most popular in Wales.
Roy has also had a highly successful career in television working in the medium of both Welsh and English. He has been presenter on a diet series with Barbara Dickson and fronted series of both ‘Noble Guides‘ and ‘Noble Trails‘. More recently, another series called ‘Common Ground‘ was highly acclaimed, gaining him the Royal Television Society Award as Regional Presenter of the Year in 2000.
Roy is very much involved with charity organisations throughout Wales and was awarded a OBE for this work in 2001. He is heavily in demand as an after dinner speaker all over the country but Caerphilly Library Service has been lucky enough to secure his services for this event.
Admission is free but by ticket only and all are welcome to attend.
