A project enabling people of all abilities to get on their bike could be set up in Pembrokeshire.
Bike Ability Wales provides everyone with the opportunity of riding a bike by offering a variety of specially designed machines for people to use.
First set up in Swansea some years ago, the scheme’s organisers now hope to expand into Pembrokeshire.
A taster day was held at the County Showground in Haverfordwest last month with a further two taster days due to be held in February.
“The taster days are designed the gauge the amount of interest there is in developing this project in our County,” said Councillor Huw George.
“We would like all people, whatever their abilities, to enjoy the pleasures and health benefits of cycling. Under this scheme everyone can have a go.”
The taster days are organised by Pembrokeshire County Council and Pembrokeshire Greenways –
Among the bikes are offer are handcycles, trikes, quadcycles, tandems and wheelchair bikes.
