The evening showcased some of the best Welsh talent, including West End star, Mark Evans from Denbighshire, and what better place to hold it than in a Pavilion which has hosted some of the best international talent over the last few decades. This year’s competition to compose a carol was won by Denbighshire father and son team, Eifion Lloyd Jones and Ynyr Llwyd. Their winning carol was performed on stage by Elin Fflur during the concert.
Councillor Hugh Evans, Leader of Denbighshire County Council said “It is always a pleasure to welcome back the Thousand Christmas Voices concert to the Royal International Pavilion, a superb location enjoyed by thousands of people, local and international, throughout the year. Considerable investment will be made here over the coming months to ensure an even better facility for such events in the future.”

This year’s programme ends this Thursday evening (17 Dec) with the “Kill for a Seat Comedy Club”, the popular, monthly comedy night
which features resident comedian, Silky and his guests this Thursday are Michael Smiley and Kevin Hayes. Bar opens at 7p.m.
