Visitors to Cardiff Bay are in for a vintage day out when the Classic Car and Boat Rally motors down to the waterfront.
The event is free and runs from 10am until 4.30pm on Sunday, August 10.
The rally will feature around 140 classic cars dating from the 1930s through to the 1980s, some of which you may recognise as stars of the silver screen.
For those who prefer life on the ocean waves, boats from the Classic Motor Boat Association of Great Britain (CMBA) will be on display on the Harbour Pontoons at the bottom of Roald Dahl Plass. Spectators will be able to view spectacular boat displays along Cardiff Bay as CMBA members take to the water.
Cabinet Member for Community Development, Co-operatives and Social Enterprise, Cllr Peter Bradbury, said: “The Classic Car and Boat Rally is a great free day out whether you’re a classic car enthusiast or not. Set against the beautiful backdrop of the Cardiff Bay waterfront it’s an opportunity to see some truly fantastic cars which have been lovingly cared for over the decades.”
“Thousands of people came down last year and of course the Cardiff Bay beach will also be in place down at Roald Dahl Plass giving everyone who attends an extra free event to enjoy.”
The Classic Car and Boat Rally is a part of the Cardiff Festival. Further details can be found at www.cardiff-festival.com.
