A part of the A55 on Anglesey is closed following a collision involving two HGV’s earlier today (Saturday, 6th March).
At 12:12 North Wales Police received a report of a two vehicle collision on the eastbound carriageway between junctions six and seven near Llangefni.
The Ambulance and Fire and Rescue Service were informed.
A recovery operation is underway involving a crane as one HGV came to a stop in a field just off the A55.
Another HGV, which came to a stop on the A55 has already been recovered, however, the eastbound carriageway between Llangefni and Gaerwen is expected to remain closed until at least 8pm this evening due to a fuel spillage.
Diversions are in place along the A5.
Both lorry drivers were taken to Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor with what are believed to be minor injuries.
