Aberystwyth University Guild of Students will be hosting a ‘Bargain Hunt’ jumble sale using donated essentials from last year’s final year students. The sale is the culmination of the Guild’s ‘re-use it’ campaign which was launched as part of Wales Sustainability Week. The sale is open to all students and will be particularly beneficial to all incoming Freshers.
Items donated range from computing equipment to crockery and everything inbetween.
The profits raised from the ‘Bargain Hunt’ will be donated to a charity in the local community.
‘There has been a tremendous amount of items given to the sale, and I’m pleased to see so many students donating their possessions at the end of the academic year to raise money for projects in the local community, at the same time this has provided an opportunity for students to cut down on some of the already spiralling costs of the University experience’ said Jon Antoniazzi, Guild President.
The event will be taking place on Saturday 25th September 2010 between 12am – 4pm in the Union Building on Campus.
