An art trail – “The Art and Science of Well-being” – forms part of Aberystwyth University’s celebration of Universities Week 2014, 9-15 June 2014.
Developed by members of staff at Aberystwyth University and Hywel Dda University Health Board, the Art Trail offers a weeklong programme of activity and brings together elements of the work of local organisations to illustrate how History and Memory, Art and Movement and Health and Human Society are all parts of a rich and engaging celebration of the work and enthusiasm of those who live and thrive in Ceredigion.
Universities Week 2014 is also marked by the Aberystwyth School of Art Gallery which is holding an exhibition throughout the week, a lecture, gallery talk and a print demonstration which will all be free of charge and provide insight into current research on the University’s important collection of prints from the inter-war period.
Universities Week, which runs from 9–15 June, aims to emphasise how universities benefit everyone, whether or not they have gone to university themselves.
This designated week sees higher education institutions around the country take part in a variety of local, regional and national activities designed to demonstrate the extraordinary, life-changing work of universities.
