Adult Learners’ Week has been celebrated in style at Tenby Community Learning Centre.
There was a good turn out for the official opening of the annual exhibition of students work, by Pembrokeshire County Councillor Huw George, Cabinet Member for Children, Young People, Learning and the Welsh Language.
The standard of work on display was incredibly high which was acknowledged by Lifelong Learning Co-ordinator, Rosemary Tippett Maudsley.
She said: “The purpose to the exhibition is to recognise the achievement and progress that has been made by learners who have been attending adult education classes, but it never ceases to amaze me the standard of work that is produced.
“There are some very talented people in the area and it is a credit to their tutors that they have been able to develop the learners’ latent abilities and enable to reach their potential.
“This year’s exhibition is one of the best and if you haven’t already seen it pop along to the centre between 10 am and 4 pm. It is well worth a visit.
“Many people have taken advantage of the free taster sessions that have been held throughout the week and have signed up for classes in September.
“There has been a real buzz as classes have been held in the exhibition hall and members of the public have been able to wander round or join in. Hopefully they have been able to see the enjoyment current learners have from attending classes and will be encouraged to take the plunge and have a go themselves in the near future.”
