Unlimited Commissions will support the creation and production of high quality work across all artforms that places disabled and Deaf people at its centre.
Commissions totalling £1.5 million will be awarded to help celebrate the London 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games across the UK.
Arts Council England is delivering Unlimited Commissions with the Scottish Arts Council, the Arts Council of Northern Ireland and the Arts Council of Wales on behalf of London 2012 and the Olympic Lottery Distributor.
There will be five Advice Sessions for disabled artists, disabled and Deaf-led arts organisations and mainstream producers in June and July 2010. The Advice Sessions will bring together speakers from London 2012, Arts Council England and the British Council so you can find out more about the commissions and how to apply.
The Welsh session is on Wednesday, July 7, from 2pm – 5pm at Chapter Arts Centre, Cardiff.
The two remaining deadlines for commissions are, October 1, 2010 and April 18, 2011.
London 2012 and the UK Arts Councils want to commission high quality, ambitious work by disabled and Deaf artists that can be seen and experienced by a broad range of audiences in a wide range of spaces. We are encouraging artists to push beyond their personal best, creating work with the potential to open doors and change minds.
