Officers in Holyhead have confiscated a significant amount of alcohol in a bid to crackdown on under age drinking.
A large quantity of alcohol – including wine, cider and lager was seized on Saturday, 5th September from two 13-year-old’s in the area.
PCSO Sarah Jones said: “The alcohol was confiscated from people too young to legally buy it.
“Following an investigation into the matter, a male was later issued with an £80 Fixed Penalty Notice for supplying the youngsters with the alcohol.
She added: “North Wales Police are committed to tackling under age drinking and tackling anti-social behaviour or other type of crime associated with under age drinking.
“The Holyhead Neighbourhood Policing Team would welcome cooperation and support from members of the public in assisting us to stamp out the sale and supply of alcohol to young people. Please be advised that this is a serious matter and we’ll robustly deal with anyone caught selling alcohol to under age people.”
