Tredegar have announced a raft of changes behind the scenes following last season’s disappointment.
Tredegar’s Director of Coaching, Robert Johnstone said: “Following our disappointment last year and being relegated to Division 2 East we achieved seven wins and 36 league points but could not avoid the drop, however our aim this season is to bounce back.”
With David Eddy appointed as the new club chairman the backroom staff has been strengthened with ex-Newbridge official Chris Jones replacing Martin Williams as team manager with the experienced Williams taking on the role of assistant secretary.
Fitness guru Dave Brown will bring a wealth of experience that will stretch and get the best out of the playing squad.
Johnstone added that Rhys Hallet will captain the side and spearhead the campaign and pre season games against Aberdare and the Treorchy 10’s have already been pencilled in.
Pre-season training has already started and any players interested would be welcome at the Tuesday and Thursday training sessions held at the Recreation Ground.
