Darren Millar AM has given his backing to NSPCC Cymru’s ‘I stand for children’ campaign which aims to make child protection a priority for the next Welsh Assembly Government.
The NSPCC’s campaign is calling on Welsh Assembly candidates to commit to three child protection measures:
- Ensuring that funding of frontline children’s social services is protected
- Tackling child neglect
- Ensuring that children are effectively protected from abuse in all sports settings in Wales
Commenting on the campaign, Darren said:
“As the AM for Clwyd West and a father of two, I am delighted to support NSPCC Cymru’s new campaign to ensure protecting children is a political priority.
“The next Assembly Government should keep child protection high on its list of priorities. If re-elected to represent Clwyd West in the National Assembly, I will campaign to help make sure this is the case.”
