Labour AM Jeff Cuthbert is encouraging people in Caerphilly and the Rhymney Valley to join him in signing an online petition calling for reform of Europe’s fishing policy, under which fishermen are currently throwing dead fish back into the sea.
Jeff has signed the World Wildlife Fund’s ‘More Fish’ petition, urging the European Union to end overfishing, stop wasteful practices and protect marine wildlife.
Jeff Cuthbert AM said:
“To protect fish stocks, the fishing industry and marine wildlife we need to reform Europe’s fishing policy and end this terrible situation where fish are wasted. I hope that people in Caerphilly and the Rhymney Valley will join me in getting behind this WWF campaign by taking a minute to sign the online petition.”
