An Assembly Member is urging role model companies in his constituency to enter the Wales Responsible Business Awards.
Ken Skates, the Labour AM for Clwyd South, has encouraged local firms to put themselves forward for the competition, which is being run by Business in the Community (BITC).
He said:
“There are many businesses in Clwyd South – and across North East Wales as a whole – which do great things in the community, and that are enterprising, growing, working with young people and committed to the environment.
“Now is the time for them to enter these prestigious awards and get the recognition they richly deserve. BITC wants to celebrate business as a force for good in Wales and the awards recognise the best in responsible business practices across several categories.”
Mr Skates added:
“Entry is free and the majority of categories are open to all companies, regardless of whether they’re BITC members or not. BITC staff can also help prospective applicant with advice and insights about preparing entries, and there is a wealth of information on the website.
“We have some of the best businesses in Wales on our doorstep and they should be shouting about their practices and achievements from the rooftop.”
Businesses can find out more by visiting www.bitc.org.uk/awards, and the deadline for entries is Friday, February 21.
