Montgomeryshire Assembly Member, Russell George, is to launch his new constituency office with a coffee morning fundraiser for MacMillan Cancer Support.
Mr George is to officially open his office, situated on 13 Parker’s Lane in Newtown, on Saturday 24th September from 10.30 until 2pm.
Commenting Mr George said:
“I have two excellently located offices now in both Newtown and Welshpool, as I feel it is important that constituents can easily contact me.
“I want to let everyone in Montgomeryshire know that I am here to help.
“While the Newtown office has been open since the beginning of August, I felt it was fitting to coincide the official launch with MacMillan’s national coffee morning event.
“The charity does incredible work in Powys and delivers vital services to thousands of people affected by cancer.
“I would encourage as many people to come along as possible and enjoy a cuppa and some cake, as all the proceeds will be donated to Macmillan.”
