Options are being investigated with the landowner to help alleviate flooding at Llanellen, Monmouth AM Nick Ramsay has been told.
Speaking in the Chamber last week, Mr Ramsay said the A4042 south of Abergavenny at Llanellen has been flooded on many occasions and was particularly badly affected this winter. He asked the Minister for an update on her trunk road review in Wales and questioned whether issues of maintenance and dealing with chronic problems on roads such as the A4042 at Abergavenny, were being factored in.
“The Minister indicated she would shortly be advising us on decisions on the trunk road review, and I was pleased to hear that options are being looked at to alleviate flooding at Llanellen.”
