Plaid Cymru AM Chris Franks has tabled an emergency question in the Assembly on the proposed closure of the Bosch factory near Miskin.
South Wales Central AM Chris Franks said:
“This is a massive blow for the Welsh economy and to all the families involved. I have tabled an emergency question so Economic Development Minister Ieuan Wyn Jones gives a statement to the Senedd about the work that he and his department is doing to keep the 900 jobs at Bosch.
“Unlike previous recessions in 1980s and 1990s when Wales was defenceless we have a Welsh Assembly and a government that will not sacrifice our own people as we fight the ravages of the world’s financial crisis. Nobody is in denial of the serious challenges we face, which is why Ieuan Wyn Jones is producing an economic renewal programme to transform the Welsh economy.”
