South Pembrokeshire AM Angela Burns is holding a special surgery next month for those affected by mental health issues.
The idea for holding the event came out of a meeting Mrs Burns had with West Wales Action for Mental Health (WWAMH) last year.
“I attended a workshop put on by WWAMH for people with mental health issues and heard about the challenges of coping with depression and other problems,” said Mrs Burns.
“One in four of us will suffer from some sort of mental health issue in our lifetimes so this is a huge challenge facing society and the health service.”
The surgery will take place at Hafal at Tenby Resource Initiative on Trafalgar Road on Friday February 12th between 1.30pm and 4pm.
“I’ll be there for anyone who is suffering from mental health issues or for anyone who’s caring for someone with them,” said Mrs Burns.
“There are many complex issues surrounding care, benefits and treatment and this is such a common illness that I felt it warranted a dedicated surgery.”
