Suzy Davies, AM for South Wales West, is joining forces with St Johns Ambulance to host a free life saving course for local residents.
Mrs Davies said: “Knowing just a few simple skills and techniques can often be the difference between surviving until help arrives. With the help of the St John Ambulance I hope that we can teach people some of those skills.
“In many cases, the person needing assistance is someone close to us, often a member of our family.
“I hope the course can help give people an understanding of how much of a difference they can make, and how simple it really can be to learn.”
The course will take place at St James Church Small Hall on Walter Road, Uplands on Tuesday 5 August, with arrivals at 1:30pm for a 2:00pm start. The course will conclude at 4:00pm.
