Assembly Member Ken Skates has welcomed investment in Corwen Post Office which he says will offer his constituents a better service.
Post Office Limited has confirmed the branch will close on Tuesday, March 18, for refurbishment and reopen 10 days later on Friday, March 29.
Mr Skates said: “The new-look branch should provide an even better service for customers in Corwen, and I believe this investment in the town is something to be welcomed.
“As well as longer opening hours of 9am-5.30pm on Monday-Saturday, the branch will have a new layout with an open plan counter designed to enable customers to carry out a wide range of transactions efficiently and more quickly.
“The Post Office has also said that the branch’s new operator is keen to provide the same high standards of service that my constituents already expect, and I look forward to a bright future for Corwen Post Office.”
Post Office Limited said affected customers can access services at Cerrigydrudion branch while the Corwen premises undergoes refurbishment.
