Vale of Clwyd AM, Ann Jones, has welcomed the Minister for Education and Skills, Huw Lewis AM to Rhyl High School, to show him the on-going outstanding work being done by staff and pupils at the school.
Ms Jones said:
“Rhyl High has quickly become an outstanding school – evidenced by it achieving band one status.
“The quality of teaching and learning is sector leading and the leadership provided by Ms Armistead has been nationally recognised by her appointment to the Minister’s Leadership Panel. I am delighted that Claire’s talents have been rewarded in this way and it is a great credit to the whole school.
“The Welsh Labour Government continues to invest in Rhyl’s young people, and the new build school will mean they are able to go from strength to strength. It is nothing less than our young people deserve”.
