North Wales AM Eleanor Burnham has welcomed the news that the heritage industry in Wales will receive £1.3million in work-based training grants for 70 jobseeker placements.
Commenting, Welsh Liberal Democrat AM Eleanor Burnham said:
“I heartily commend the Heritage Lottery Fund for this most welcome investment which will not only enable training in skills such as digitisation and research for people in Archive placements but also in more traditional skills such as stonemasonry, lime plastering and roofing.
“This is an excellent opportunity to raise awareness about heritage skills and to provide job prospects in areas that might otherwise not be considered”.
