AM Welcomes National Conversation

Lesley_GriffithsPeople across Wales are being urged to take part in a National Conversation to highlight issues that matter to them the most.

The Welsh Government scheme aims to engage with as many people as possible and Wrexham Assembly Member Lesley Griffiths is supporting the campaign.

People will be asked what the most important issues are for them in improving their lives and those of their families and communities.

It’s hoped the initiative will provide a cross section of opinions from communities, businesses and the voluntary sector, offering them the opportunity to have their say in establishing a set of long term goals for Wales.

The feedback gathered from the National Conversation will help inform and shape the ground-breaking Future Generations Bill, which will come into law next year.

The Future Generations Bill will look at the long term vision for Wales and will help the Welsh Government shape long term policies in the hope that by 2050, Wales is the best place to live, learn, work and do business.

Lesley Griffiths AM commented:

“The National Conversation will give people of all ages across Wales the opportunity to underline which issues matter most to them.”

“Whether it’s the health service, jobs and economic growth or climate change, all responses will contribute to the Welsh Government proposals for a Future Generations Bill, setting out ambitious, long term goals to reflect the Wales people want to see in the future.”

“Anyone interested in taking part in the National Conversation should contact [email protected] or call 02920 192021 for more information.”
