An Age Well day for older members of the community is being held on Anglesey later this month.
The event at Gwelfor, Morawelon, organised by Morlo Communities First is being held on Tuesday March 22nd from 10am – 3pm, with a free lunch.
Community Development Manager Manager, Veronica Huband, is hoping that the event which is being supported by multi agencies, will be well supported.
During the day people are being invited to drop in and talk to experts who will be on hand to give them advice and information about how to keep in good health.
Police Community Support Officer Katy Hughes, who will be attending the event, said: “We have a large number of people over 50 living in the area and the idea is to invite them along so they can get advice and support on a range of issues.
“There will be lots of different local organisations taking part including Community Fit Club, the Walking Group, the Red Cross, Tai Chi specialists as well as North Wales Police and the Fire Service.
“It promises to be a really good event and we will also have representatives from Coleg Harlech and Coleg Menai on hand to talk about courses they can offer.
“There will also be opportunities to have your blood pressure checked, easy and gentle exercise taster sessions, and the chance to discuss alternative therapies.
“It is a great event for the older people because they are able to get all the help and advice they need all in one place.”
