Come and meet a meerkat at the National Botanic Garden of Wales.
Worcester-based Tropical Inc will be showing off some incredible creatures at Mini-Beasts Weekend, which takes place on Saturday and Sunday (April 21-22).
The Mini-Beasts shows are part of the Garden’s ‘Month in the Mediterranean’, which focuses on the Mediterranean plant collection in Lord Foster’s Great Glasshouse – which is at its best in April and May.
Head of Marketing at the Garden, David Hardy said: “Tropical Inc share many of our goals in that they tell environmental stories and warn of the impact humans can have on very sensitive habitats and environments. I’ve seen their show and it really is top banana.”
Audience members will have a unique and exciting opportunity to hold or stroke each animal in the show. Kelly Shambley, of Tropical Inc, said: “We aim to educate people of all ages and all walks of life. We also give advice to people on caring for exotic pets.
“By encouraging people’s natural curiosity, and using the secrets of environments such as the Rainforest and Desert, we will take you on an almost magical journey,” she added.
Tickets for the shows are £2 per person (in addition to entry to the Garden). For tickets and further details call 01558 667149.
