South Wales Police continuing to investigate an assault outside the Cardiff City Stadium are appealing for information.
A 54-year old man had been to watch Cardiff City play Nottingham Forest when he was struck from behind in the car park.
He was then punched and kicked by two men causing cuts and bruising to the face. An altercation between the victim and suspects took place during the game in the Canton Stand prompting him to leave the match before the final whistle.
Pc James Francis said: “I’m sure all those who attend Cardiff City home games will know that it is very unusual to have any incidents of this nature in the and around the stadium.
“Numerous enquiries have been carried out in conjunction with the club since the assault took place but we are now asking supporters for help.
“There were more than 23,000 people at the game on Saturday, November 20 and someone must have witnessed either the argument during the game or the subsequent assault.
“I would appeal for anyone with information to contact me on 0758 40 04575 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
