At 7.38am today (Wednesday, December 15) police received a report of a collision on the B4500 Pontfadog, Llangollen, involving a car and bus.
The collision involved a Citroen Saxo car and a MAN single decker bus.
Police, Fire and the Ambulance service attended and the female driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the bus is not believed to have sustained injury and there were no passengers on board.
The B4500 road between Chirk and Pontfadog is currently closed and will remain so for some time.
