Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a robbery at the Clwydian Public House during the early hours of this morning (Friday, October 1).
Staff inside the High Street based pub were clearing away at around 12.30am when two men entered from the back of the premises. One of the offenders, who armed with a knife, demanded that the staff go into the office. Once all the staff were inside, the second offender, who is believed to have been armed with a crow bar, entered and took money from the safe and the till trays that were in the process of being emptied.
The two offenders left the public house and are believed to have escaped through the back of the pub, through the beer garden and on to Church Lane.
The staff were threatened during the incident but no one sustained any injuries.
Inquiries are underway and officers are appealing to anyone who may have been in the vicinity of the Clwydian Public House in Prestatyn during the early hours of this morning to contact officers at St Asaph CID.
The offenders are described as follows: The first offender is described as being 6ft 1′ to 6ft 3 tall, of stocky build and was wearing a light coloured hooded top with darker coloured bottoms and trainers. He also wore a black balaclava.
The second offender is described as being around 6ft 3′ tall, wearing dark clothing and white trainers. He was also wearing a balaclava which was white in colour.
