Gwent Police is appealing for information following an incident of disorder which occurred in Market Square, Brynmawr at approximately 1am this morning, Monday 16th June.
Three of our officers, two female and one male, attended to deal with the incident and were assaulted. They were all taken to Nevill Hall Hospital for treatment and have since been released.
DI Paul Davies said: “We need your help to find the people responsible for this. Our officers were doing their job, responding to a report of disorder, and the fact that they were assaulted is completely unacceptable. An investigation is now underway and I would urge anyone with information to get in touch straight away.”
