Police are appealing for information after a robbery occurred on Commercial Street, outside Lidl’s, Tredegar yesterday (Monday September 20th, 2010).
The robbery occurred at approximately 12.30pm as a female employee of a local garage was on her way, with another female colleague, to the post office to bank money.
She was carrying a rucksack containing the cash and was approached from behind. The offender – a male approximately five feet seven inches tall, of slim build – grabbed the grey and black Nike ruck sack and ran off. The offender ran off behind the Gwent MOT Service Station and toward Cefn Glas and Stocktonville housing estates.
The female received minor injuries to her shoulder and was left shaken.
