Police are appealing for information regarding the whereabouts of two prison absconders. 20 year old Joshua Morris and 20 year old George Mark Rees absconded from HMP Prescoed this yesterday morning (Sunday 24th October 2010).
Joshua Morris was convicted for burglary and was serving a three year sentence, and George Mark Rees was convicted of Robbery and was serving a seven year sentence. Neither are registered sex offenders.
Morris is described as being approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall, of thin build, with brown hair, blue eyes and a tattoo on his wrist.
Rees is described as being approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall of medium to thin build with brown hair, blue eyes and tattoos on the back of his neck on his right shoulder and on his chest.
Both have contacts in the Swansea area.
Gwent Police has activated its operational plan with the aim of locating both and the prison is co-operating fully with us . It is believed there may be a potential risk to the public due to the fact that they are no longer in the custody of the prison service.
