The St Mellons community of Cardiff are being asked to help identify an individual who attempted to snatch a gold necklace from a local man.
The victim, who uses a walking stick, bravely fought off the man who ran off empty handed in the direction of Heritage Park.
The attempt robbery happened at around 7.10pm on Wednesday, January 22 in the underpass which runs from Crickhowell Road under Willowbrook Drive.
The suspect is described as being of mixed race appearance, slim, around 25 years old and 5ft 10in tall. He was wearing a black hooded top tied tightly around his face, black trousers, and black shoes.
The 53-year-old victim suffered bruising and swelling to his face.
