Gwent Police is appealing for witnesses following an assault that took place at Bailey Park, Abergavenny.
The incident took place on Saturday 16th April during a rugby match between Abergavenny RFC and Newport HSOB (High School Old Boys) RFC. As a result a 23 year old man from Newport sustained a broken jaw. .
A 33 year old man from the Abergavenny area has been arrested on suspicion of assault and has since been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
