Gwent Police were called this morning (Monday 10th February) to the Abergavenny area following a one vehicle road traffic collision.
The collision occurred at approximately 6.50am on the A465.
The one female occupant of the vehicle involved, a black Ford Fiesta, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Diversions are currently in place but the road will reopen fully shortly.
Officers ask that anyone who may have witnessed the collision to call 101 quoting log 36 10/02/14.
