Gwent Police is appealing for witnesses following a road traffic collision involving a blue people carrier and a pedestrian.
The collision occurred at approximately 9.45am this morning, Sunday 22nd June at the car wash on Llantarnam Road, Cwmbran.
The pedestrian, a 75 year old man, is currently in a critical condition in the Royal Gwent Hospital.
A 26 year old man from Gloucester has been arrested on suspicion of careless driving, driving without a driving licence and driving without insurance. He is currently in police custody.
The owner of the people carrier may not be aware that their vehicle was involved in a collision and officers are appealing for them to get in touch.
